<p>Following the removal of true-or-false questions from the motorcycle license written test earlier this year, the automobile driving license examination has undergone its largest revision to date on June 30.</p><p>The updated test removes true-or-false questions and introduces new <strong>hazard perception video-based questions</strong>, requiring candidates to identify potential risks in real-life traffic situations.</p><p>All students currently undergoing training are required to take the written test using the updated question database. <p>Starting January 30, 2026, Taiwan&#039;s motorcycle driving license written test officially adopted a new format. True-or-false questions have been completely removed and replaced with 50 multiple-choice questions. <p>The long-standing Vehicle Fuel Fee has officially been renamed the <strong>Road Use, Maintenance and Safety Management Fee</strong>. Starting with this year&#039;s July collection period, payment notices will display the new name. The Ministry of Transportation and Communications emphasized that only the name has changed—the collection period, payment methods, fee schedule, and applicable vehicles remain unchanged. Electric vehicles will continue to enjoy the current fee exemption policy through the end of 2030.</p>
