Q.I am currently under 18 years old, but I will turn 18 before my driving test. Can I enroll in this course?
Sorry, according to current regulations, students must be at least 18 years old before the course start date in order to enroll in that training session. If you do not meet the age requirement by the start date, you will need to choose a later course session.
Q.I am already 18 years old. How can I enroll?
You can register online, and our staff will contact you to assist with the enrollment process. Alternatively, you are welcome to visit our service counter in person to register and select your preferred course session and schedule.
Q.What documents do I need to prepare for enrollment?
Please prepare the following documents:
Five 1-inch ID photos
A driver's license physical examination form
A photocopy of both the front and back sides of your ID card
If you need a scooter or ordinary light vehicle driver's license physical examination form, you may pick one up at Dafeng Driving School during business hours.
Q.Is there a government subsidy for ordinary heavy motorcycle training? How can I apply?
Government subsidies for ordinary heavy motorcycle training are subject to limited quotas. We recommend contacting us or visiting Dafeng Driving School in person for the latest information and assistance.
Students who are already enrolled in our training program do not need to apply for the subsidy themselves. Dafeng Driving School will assist with the required application process.
Q.What happens if I am caught driving without a license during my training period?
According to Taiwan's current traffic regulations, starting in 2026, driving without a valid license will result in serious penalties. In addition to a fine of tens of thousands of New Taiwan dollars, offenders may also face a temporary ban from taking the driving test.
Students are strongly advised not to drive without a license and should always follow traffic laws.
Q.I am taking driving lessons during my free time from work or school. What is the absence policy?
You may request leave from your training sessions or coordinate your practice schedule with your instructor.
However, according to regulations, absences from both classroom instruction and practical driving training cannot exceed one-third of the required training hours for each category.
Q.What is the difference between manual and automatic transmission vehicles?
Automatic transmission vehicles only require you to control the accelerator, brake, and steering wheel. However, after obtaining an automatic transmission license, you are only permitted to drive automatic transmission vehicles.
Manual transmission vehicles require additional control of the clutch pedal and gear shifting, making them more challenging to operate. However, once you obtain a manual transmission license, you are allowed to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
Q.Can I enroll in motorcycle training if I cannot ride a bicycle?
We recommend learning how to ride a bicycle first. Having basic balance skills will help you ride more safely and allow you to learn motorcycle riding more quickly and smoothly.
